Citizens Bank Will Merge With Landmark National Bank
Since 1884, Citizens Bank has been committed to serving customers across Eastern Kansas with a high level of personal service. After twenty-five years of ownership, Dean and Becky Mann have decided to retire, and have agreed to merge Citizens Bank with Landmark National Bank. We believe Landmark National Bank provides the best opportunity to ensure that the values and principles of community banking held by Citizens for more than 125 years will continue.
Citizens Bank will merge into Landmark this fall, pending approval by the regulators. The Boards of Directors at each bank have already approved the merger. Upon completion of the merger, Landmark will have 29 branches in communities across Kansas including the current Citizens' locations, as well as in Auburn, Dodge City, Garden City, Great Bend, Hoisington, Junction City, LaCrosse, Lawrence, Louisburg, Manhattan, Osage City, Osawatomie, Paola, Topeka, Wamego, and Wellsville. The combined community banking institution will have more than $800 million in assets.
Rest assured that you will continue to enjoy the convenient banking options, combined with the dedication to exceptional customer service that you do today. Over the next few months, we will be working with Landmark to ensure a smooth transition for all of our customers. Our goal is to keep you informed, and make your transition to Landmark as simple as possible. It has been our privilege and honor to serve your financial needs over the years. We are confident that this new partnership will provide an even stronger community bank for our customers and communities.
